Three intensive days at Food Ingredients Europe in Paris are behind us – characterized by high-quality technical discussions, concrete interest from the industry and the clear confirmation: Our solution meets the market's needs.
The focus was on our cashew juice concentrate as a natural sweetener , derived from the cashew apple – a previously underutilized byproduct of cashew nut processing. For the first time on an international stage, the potential of this ingredient for the development of innovative, sustainable food and beverages became clear.
Although we have already presented our products at various trade fairs and in stores, the feedback in Paris was exceptional: We received unanimously positive feedback during the tastings of our new cashew juice concentrate. Particular praise was given to its balanced flavor, natural sweetness, and versatile use in beverages, confectionery, and other applications.
The reactions of the trade visitors – honest, interested and solution-oriented – impressively demonstrated that the food industry is looking for precisely such functional, sustainable and clean-label-capable ingredients .
For Akoua, this response is a strong confirmation of our mission: to reduce food waste while providing innovative ingredients for the industry.
Our special thanks go to the Food Ingredients Europe team and the jury of the FIE Startup Challenge 2024. The " Most Innovative Sustainable Solution " award gave us access as an exhibitor – and opened the door to dialogue with precisely the partners with whom we want to shape the future of sustainable food.
